Privacy
FlightGuessr is a game about the flights above you. It collects as little as it can, and most of what it keeps stays on your iPhone.
Location
With your permission, the app uses your location at about 1 km accuracy, only while you're using it, to find flights near you. A rounded position (to about 1 km) is sent to our server, which returns the flights around you. The flights themselves come from adsb.lol, the public flight-tracking service: sometimes your phone fetches them for your area from adsb.lol and passes them to our server, so players nearby share one copy. That upload contains aircraft data only. Our server keeps only a coarse area (about 50 km) in its logs, never your position, and shares nothing with anyone else.
What stays on your iPhone
Your round history, Daily results, rating and settings are stored on your device. You can download or delete all of it in the app under You → Privacy.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, your scores for the weekly board, the Daily and your rating are submitted to Apple's Game Center so you can compare them with friends. Apple's privacy policy covers Game Center.
Purchases
Premium is sold through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details; the app checks your purchases with the App Store on your device.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no tracking across apps or websites, no advertising.
- No analytics or crash reporting from the app.
Our server
The app downloads each day's Daily from our server. Those requests carry no personal information. Like any web server, it may briefly keep standard request logs.
